Summer Term Reboot25

Welcome to our new Context for Learning, Reboot25. We are so excited to share all about our learning with you. We will be focussing on living things, planting and growing and developing our design technology skills to create items to sell at our Garden Centre. 

In the following weeks, the pupils will be provided with opportunities to experience:      

  • Asking good questions and discovering new things through play
  • Exploring living, non living and once living things. 
  • Making and testing predictions
  • Planting a range of seeds
  • Making prototypes and testing
  • Explore different materials
  • Explore different conditions that plants need to grow
  • Carry out experiments
  • Carrying out an enterprise project and opening a Garden Centre for families to come and visit and purchase projects. 
  • Observing and measuring plants. 

 

Our class book this term is:

Trust Me, Jack's Beanstalk Stinks!: The Story of Jack and the Beanstalk as Told by the Giant (The Other Side of the Story)

 We will be using this book to support our learning of:

  • Reading comprehension
  • Oracy skills
  • Retelling the story
