Digital Leaders

What We Do

Welcome to the Home of the Digital Leaders. We play a vital role in our school as we aim to promote and support online safety. We meet on a weekly basis to discuss important issues about how we can help children to stay safe online. Here at Danescourt we encourage parents and learners to talk openly and honestly about their online habits such as what you like to do, and how you spend your time online. Parents can sometimes find these conversations awkward and a little difficult... if you find it tricky to talk about this then we have some great advice for you here: https://hwb.gov.wales/keeping-safe-online/resources/having-a-conversation-with-your-child/

Children's Online Rights

As a Rights Respecting School, it is important to us that learners' rights are respected when online. For further information on what rights children have when using the Internet please find the link attached which provides a family guide to children's rights. https://hwb.gov.wales/keeping-safe-online/resources/a-family-guide-to-children-s-rights-online/

Safer Internet Day 2023

At Danescourt we are regular supporters of Safer Internet Day and 2023 was no exception. The Digital Leaders ran and promoted the day which was based on the theme 'Want to talk about it?'. Our Digital Leaders did us proud as they led an action-packed assembly full of information, fun and games. We have attached the resources from the day below for you to access.
