Welcome to Cherry and Cedar class!

Our teachers are:

Miss Walters (Cherry) and Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Diment (Cedar).

 

This term, our new topic is Innovation Generation, or 'IG' for short. We will be thinking flexibly and creatively about ways we can help our planet and innovate new ideas. 

In Year 1, we will be learning about composting and how we can reuse food waste for different purposes. 

We had an exciting immersion day to begin our topic and asked lots of 'Good Questions.' See below!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have begun our learning by creating our own 'Rot Pots.' We have started our own personal compost bottle and will be adding our snack waste to these over the next few weeks. Using our observational skills, we will be watching how the food breaks down to produce compost.
